The Ark: Genesis - Part 2 launch trailer officially has a lot going on | PC Gamer - ricedond2002
In that location's officially too much leaving on in the Ark: Genesis - Part 2 launch trailer
Dinosaur survival game Ark: Survival Evolved has been on a long and eventful six-year journey, growing from a rough-around-the-edges Early Approach spunky to unity of the most successful survival games ever.
And judging by the launch trailer for Ark: Genesis - Part 2—which is out today and First Baron Marks of Broughton the final installment before Ark 2 releases sometime close year—that journey is coming to an extremely busy and dramatic end.
There's so much crammed into the plunge trailer I don't quite know where to start, but it includes:
- Interstellar spacefaring
- RTS gameplay (!)
- A survivor doing a flip happening a flying windsurfing board
- A giant air-gliding Ornithorhynchus anatinus
- Plants that swallow you healthy
- A critter that ass door latch onto your head and mastery your mind
- The voice talents of Dr. Who's St. David Tennant
- A giant breadbasket to explore
- Vin Diesel clothed only in underpants emerging from a pod
- Canoes
I guess I've squandered the thread of Ark's story a bit—back when I played it, Ark of the Covenant was about riding giant frogs, building ugly forts, pooping, and savagely pummeling dinosaurs unconscious and then stuffing food into them until they preferent you. Merely there's clearly a lot more going on these days.
Genesis - Part 2 features Ark of the Covenant's largest ever map, features bran-new missions and creatures, brings the wildly meandering sci-fi story to a conclusion, and leads into the beginning of Ark 2, which features Vin Diesel—not even as an actor but as a member of Studio apartment Wildcard's developing squad. (His title, wonderfully, is President of Inventive Overlap.)
"As you brave the many another dangers of this current world, you'll take in access to muscular sunrise tools to aid you," says Studio apartment Wildcard about Genesis - Part 2. "You'll watch how to place remote cameras, pull murder tricks with a floating skateboard-suchlike Hoversail, take care of your eggs with the high-tech Brooder, shoot arrows made of pure energy with the Tek Bow, steady wage in a Real Prison term Strategy command mode within the new Exo-Mek—and far, faraway more!"
With all that going on in Book of Genesis Region 2, I'm starting to wonder what's left for Ark 2.
Genesis - Division 2 is now out on Steamer and the Epic Games Store as part of the Genesis Season Transcend, which costs $30. It's also included in Ark of the Covenant's Ultimate Survivor Variant, which includes the base game and all last scrap of DLC, for $60.
